The Man of Steel Christopher Reeve

I watched all the Christopher Reeve superman films again recently.
There are many great version of Superman in the 75 years of history, from many great artists. Many of them are equally great but different, however, Reeve looked perfect as Clark Kent / Superman to me. He looked like he stepped right out of the pages of a Superman comic.

Superman Comics
His version of superman suit is the most typical one; red cap, yellow belt, big symbol on the chest, Simple but comfortable. Crime fighters have to be comfortable. He won't have any weird mesh or leather getting in the way. Man of Steel is all about flexibility and speed, and this superman movie costume is a perfect reflection of that.

Christopher Reeve was awesome in HIS version of Superman, and nobody could put on THAT superman suit and do what he did any better. He was and always shall be Superman for me. Though you've been taken from this world, your portrayal of Superman will still live on.

Does the Old Superman Costume Now Look Weird to You?

The new Superman Movie Man of Steel hits theaters June 14. This is the film I'm most looking forward to this summer.
When the new Superman costume first revealed, I wondered if I'd ever get used to seeing Superman without the trunks. After all, he'd had red trunks since 1938. At first, seeing him without the trunks was weird.

With the new trunks-less images strictly enforced in ALL media (comics, animation, toys, publicity, and of course the MAN OF STEEL movie), I must say: now the original red trunks are starting to look awkward to me in a way they never did before, while, in contrast, the new super suit looked natural and normal.

The old superman costume is a classic, although it had some variations on its resistance and other minor details sans the S-shield, it remained virtually unchanged and represents Superman's 75 years history. But the new superman suit has grown on me. It retains most of the classic elements, looks more modernized and more alien. The only problem is that I think adding a belt would make a big difference to this new suit.

So guys, does now the old superman suit now look weird to you?

Top 5 Greatest Superheroes in Underwear

Superheroes are not only a great symbol of power and justice, but also a great symbol for wearing your underwear outside your clothes.
The superhero costumes with underwear have been cut down in recent movies, but I know some superheroes will simply always be remembered for their original appearances with underwear.

Scroll down through my list of the top 5 superheroes in underwear, and let me know if you missed any of your favorites!

5. Wolverine

I know Wolverine now is just Hugh Jackman ripping his shirt off and killing people. That’s cool and all, but the original Wolverine from the X-Men cartoons and comics was way more underwear-savvy.

4. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman’s pretty cool for sort-of sporting underwear. Most female superheroes are drawn up to have watermelon sized breasts and costume with the coverage area of a fig leaf, but Wonder Woman just wears modest underwear and kicks ass.

3. The Incredibles

This is a definitely underwear fan family with incredible super powers. They wear red spandex costume with a black brief.

2. Batman and Robin

Chris Nolan might not have let poor Batman keep his undies on, but the original Adam West Batman costume and Robin costume have underwear outside.

1. Superman

Superman is the superhero of superheroes. His appearance is distinctive and iconic. The classic superman costume consisting of  a blue costume, red brief, red cape, and stylized red-and-yellow "S" shield on his chest. This shield and the red brief are often used to symbolize the character. It’s really a regret that Zack Snyder takes off Superman’s underwear in ‘Man of Steel’

Why do superheroes wear underwear over their pants?

A question about the superhero costumes that I've had for a long time, guess lot of you like me would have had the same question: Why do superheroes wear underwear over their pants?

Here I got some amazing answers below:

1. Because he can gift his underpants to every hot chick who wants one. He doesn’t need to get naked. This could have been the weirdest reason ever but one of the best too.

2. It’s also said that wearing underwear above pant is "a tradition of strong-men everywhere". Not sure about who said that or in which century but heard some gossip about it.

3. Briefs provide some additional coverage, so that a man wearing tights/leggings appears more intimidating, without adding dangerous baggy fabric.

4. Tights/leggings are practical crime-fighting bottoms. They fit into boots, they stretch, and they're not bulky. And wearing underwear above the tights will be more intimidating and attractive. In polished words, that's how strong-men's costume remains.

Happy Superman's Birthday

superman 75th birthday
Today, April 18, everyone is celebrating Superman’s 75th Birthday. Exactly 75 years ago today, Superman made his debut in “Action Comics” No. 1, and became the world’s first superhero, paving the way for the likes of Batman, Spider-Man and Wonder Woman. However, this character was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster when they were still high school students in Cleveland, Ohio, 1933, and sold to DC Comics in 1938. So we know Superman is an aged man of 75 or 80 years old now.
