Superman was invented by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1934, they created a short story called "The Reign Of The Superman" about a bald-headed villain bent on dominating the world. The story did not sell, forcing the two to rethink their character on the right side of the law. The revised Superman originally appeared in Action Comics on June 1, 1938. They sold the rights to the company for $130.
In some of the first sketches of Superman’s suit, most of the major design cues are there, except for the symbol on his chest. In the original designs, the “S” was housed in a police badge-styled shape. This is the real original superman suit.

George Reeves as Superman
George Reeves was the first man to play Superman on screen, he was one of the most popular actors to play Superman and it just might be because of his mysteries death rather than his acting abilities.
One of the facts about George that a lot of people get wrong is they think he's his Superman successor Christopher Reeve's father or at least a brother but truth be told they didn't even know each other.
When George Reeves played the man of steel in the 1950’s, He wears the typical superman suit; red cap, yellow belt, symbol on the chest. The main color is a
quite pale blue.

The Man of Steel Christopher Reeve
I watched all the Christopher Reeve superman films again recently.
There are many great version of Superman in the 75 years of history, from many great artists. Many of them are equally great but different, however, Reeve looked perfect as Clark Kent / Superman to me. He looked like he stepped right out of the pages of a Superman comic.

Does the Old Superman Costume Now Look Weird to You?
When the new Superman costume first revealed, I wondered if I'd ever get used to seeing Superman without the trunks. After all, he'd had red trunks since 1938. At first, seeing him without the trunks was weird.

Top 5 Greatest Superheroes in Underwear
Superheroes are not only a great symbol of power and justice, but also a great symbol for wearing your underwear outside your clothes.
The superhero costumes with underwear have been cut down in recent movies, but I know some superheroes will simply always be remembered for their original appearances with underwear.
Scroll down through my list of the top 5 superheroes in underwear, and let me know if you missed any of your favorites!
5. Wolverine

I know Wolverine now is just Hugh Jackman ripping his shirt off and killing people. That’s cool and all, but the original Wolverine from the X-Men cartoons and comics was way more underwear-savvy.
4. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman’s pretty cool for sort-of sporting underwear. Most female superheroes are drawn up to have watermelon sized breasts and costume with the coverage area of a fig leaf, but Wonder Woman just wears modest underwear and kicks ass.
3. The Incredibles

This is a definitely underwear fan family with incredible super powers. They wear red spandex costume with a black brief.
2. Batman and Robin

Chris Nolan might not have let poor Batman keep his undies on, but the original Adam West Batman costume and Robin costume have underwear outside.
1. Superman

Superman is the superhero of superheroes. His appearance is distinctive and iconic. The classic superman costume consisting of a blue costume, red brief, red cape, and stylized red-and-yellow "S" shield on his chest. This shield and the red brief are often used to symbolize the character. It’s really a regret that Zack Snyder takes off Superman’s underwear in ‘Man of Steel’
